A Rough Night...

Well it wasn't the best game to watch but just like every game, it's not the end of the world.  We lost Saturday night 0-3 to Westmont. I didn't get the start but I sat on the bench thinking of things I could do so I can be better for my team.  I would be lying if I said I wasn't mad I didn't get the start, but in sports you can only focus on the things you can control.

We play again, at home, tomorrow afternoon (Sep. 30th) at 4pm vs. Biola.  It will be nice to have a home game again since it has been over a month since our last one.  It will also be my first start at home in my, still young, soccer career.  I hope if you can make you, you do and stay after to say hello.

Next time (when I play) I'll make sure to give an more in-depth review on the game.

    Hi Dan Kelly,

Thanks for being so open in the 4 part story by Jim Alexander.

I watched a couple of your practices in your senior year. They sure created an atmosphere that placed you alone, far from the team with just Brian keeping tabs of your performance. You probably saw me, the older chinese guy with a small digital camera. I video taped your kicks to send to our son that was at UW hoping to get on their team.

Our son was a kicker for football in his senior year and a 4 year varsity soccer player in high school, and still enjoys playing adult league soccer.

You are not alone with your thoughts of Coach Mack. Heard stories from a parent of another player who was a starter.

Appreciate what you accomplished for that magical Sugar Bowl year.

Good luck and find happiness in all that you do. You deserve more than what UH football program is willing to offer.
